Into The Wild by Jon Krakauer, shows some very interesting and relevant life lessons that people follow each day of their life, even though most don’t journey to the Alaskan bush. Chris’s life lessons seemed to come together as one and represented how he lived according to these lessons. “Don’t get too close to anyone you meet on life’s journey, when you know it’ll only end in heartbreak and emptiness.” Keeping everyone at arm’s length with whom Chris has met so far, he was able to move on and finally make it to Alaska without any intimate friends being left behind and loneliness. Chris is different from the people he’s met and everyone that he became acquainted with has tried to get close to him. By the time they think he’ll stay longer, Chris up and leaves. Another life lesson would be to live life to the fullest in any way that a person may seem fit. Chris likes companionship like any other person, but he just can’t stand to be around people and in the same place for very long. By trying and probably succeeding, Chris was able to appreciate nature and life itself.
